The cutters are measured vertically. So top to bottom. Ex: half inch crescent will be measured from top to bottom of crescent.

For best results:
Cut clay on a shiny flat surface such as glass or tile.
For soft sticky clay dip the cutter into soapy water or cornstarch and tap excess off. I strongly recommend soapy water when using the half inch crescent cutter.
